   Emma Clarke, part of the Yellow Jacket Jazz Ensemble, has been selected as the 3rd chair trumpet for the all-state jazz band!  There are only five trumpet spots available for this elite group out of approximately 400 students who auditioned from around the state.
   She will be performing with the all-state jazz ensemble in February at the Texas Music Educators Association convention in San Antonio.
   Other jazz members placed as follows:
Abner Mendoza – 6th place guitar
Miguel Chavez – 10th place alto saxophone
Jose Alvarez – 16th place bass guitar
Milton Alvarez – 20th place trumpet
